Nothing has been more rewarding than my own tranformation, than to help other people transform their bodys, lives and health.
It is pure joy to be able to provide a custom plan, that will work for that indivual as well as continued mindset and accountability support to make sure that we cross the finish line together at the time we set.
My own transformation and passion for health gave me the confidence and courage to pursue transformation coaching. The many successful and thankful clients give me the fuel to carry on even more passionately.
When I first set out on the transformation journey, I wanted to get clean from my past persona, that was associated with so much more than health and fitness. I had been in the fashion industry for many years and I wanted to create something that was like a clean slate. Something that did’t have so much from the past integrated. It was not that I did not appreciate the past or the many friendships that I still have from that time, but I wanted to freely set up a platform and persona, where I could go all in when it came to health and fitness.
I am born 1973 and when the movie, fight club came out in 1999, I was 26 years old. Everybody was impressed by the physique that Brad Pitt had in that movie. Brad’s character was as you might recall “Tyler Durden”.
The summer of 2017, I got very inspired by the Vegan documentaries such as “What the health”, “Cowspiracy”, “Forks over knives” etc and I took the leap to adopt a plant based lifestyle. I wanted to prove that it was possible to get in amazing shapes with plant protein as the main protein source. Since then I have been 99% plant based, and it feels great.
It has been a learning curve. I very interesting one. When I first started I was 43 years old and due to drinking and a passive lifestyle I had accumulated about 33% body fat. My weight was at the highest 207 lbs, I remember.
I did a few sporadic health spurts during my initial first 18 months as a vegan, but I always feel back into old routines (although still plant based) and could not get consistent results.
It was not until April 29th 2019, when I decided to go all in. The motivation was there, the knowledge was there and I got very inspired by this alter ego that popped up in my head “Veg Tyler”. The Veg is of course for “Vegan” and Tyler is from Tyler Durdan in the Fight Club movie. Now I had no excuses. As Veg Tyler I could go all with Vegan fitness and I would not have to justify anything I posted or communicated as long as I had this persona. I created the Instagram account @VegTyler and started posted images from my journey. Already on day nr one, I had decided to call my transformation program “From Dad Bod to Fight Club in 120 Days”. This way I had a firm deadline to answer to. I calculated and thought about my goal and decided on 45 lbs fat in 120 days. I could not believe my eyes when I did the DEXA scan on day 120 and got confirmnation that I had lost 44.7 lbs of fat, only missign the target with 0.3 lbs!
I have had similar situations with other clients, and that is just boosting my confidence in the coaching department. I am so grateful to be doing what I am doing and I just want to help as many people as possible over coming their unwanted body fat. This way they, can look better, feel better and add tons of energy to their lives.
I had started my plant based journey in Aug. 2017, but it was not until April 2019, when I managed to connect all the dots, and did a complete body transformation, losing 44.7 lbs of fat in exactly 120 days. I also added 3.6 lbs of lean madd during this time period, all confirmed by Body Spec DEXA scans, performed in Culver City.
